If you have a planned or unplanned hospital stay, hospital indemnity insurance provides a cash benefit to you for each day you spend in the hospital.

You can use the benefit to help pay for things like groceries, child care, a pet sitter, travel expenses, mortgage/rent, home cleaning services—or anything else.

You can enroll as a new hire or during Annual Enrollment.

How It Works

This insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit when you or your covered family member are admitted to the hospital. You can use the money for anything you’d like.

What It Pays

The amount you receive depends on the type of hospital admission and the number of days spent in the hospital.

Get Rewarded for Taking Care of Your Health

Receive $75 each year for completing an eligible health screening, including an annual exam—available to everyone enrolled in hospital indemnity insurance.

Your Paycheck Costs

Your paycheck costs for hospital indemnity insurance are made through after-tax payroll deductions. Rates vary based on who you choose to cover and your age. You can see your specific costs when you enroll.
