Legal Services

The Legal Service plan provides protection against the high cost of legal fees. It covers attorney fees for things like will preparation, buying a home or other property, and more.

You can enroll as a new hire or during Annual Enrollment.

How It Works

You can choose a prequalified network attorney or an attorney outside of the network. Network attorneys are available in person, by phone or by email. You can also access online do-it-yourself legal tools.

What's Covered

The covered network of attorneys can help with creating or updating a will, real estate matters, tax audits, document preparation, estate planning, and more.

See the MetLife Legal Plans overview for details.

What It Pays

If you use a network attorney, the plan pays the full cost — you don’t pay any fees, deductibles, or copays. If you use an out-of-network attorney, you are reimbursed for part of the cost.

Your Paycheck Costs

Your monthly paycheck cost for legal services coverage is $15.75, which is paid through after-tax payroll deductions.
