Benefits

Dental Coverage

Through a benefits marketplace, you can choose from three different levels of coverage, and you can also choose from a variety of insurance carriers.

You can enroll as a new hire, during Annual Enrollment, or within 30 days of a qualified life event such as marriage or the birth of a child. You can enroll your spouse/domestic partner and dependent children too.

The Basics

The Coverage Levels

You can choose from three different levels of coverage:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold

The Carriers

You can choose from these national insurance carriers (available in most states/locations):

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Delta Dental
  • MetLife
  • UnitedHealthcare

What's Covered

Bronze covers preventive care and minor restorative care only.

Silver covers preventive care, major services and orthodontia for children up to age 19.

Gold covers preventive care, major services, and orthodontia for adults and children.

Your Network Choices

For all the coverage levels and all carriers, you can seek services from any dentist, but when you visit in-network providers you receive a greater benefit because they offer discounted rates.

If you choose Delta Dental, it’s important to know that there are two networks—PPO and Premier. The benefits are the same for both, but you may have to pay more if your dentist is only in the Premier network. You can save more if your dentist participates in both the PPO and Premier networks. The other carriers have just one network.
